Hiking trails around the Naze
Head outdoors and beat the dark gloom of winter. Enjoy walks around Walton and retreat to your beach hut for hot drinks and freshly baked cookies! There are a number of walking trails to guide you. You can even search for shark teeth! There is much to explore, including the Naze Tower, built in 1720 to guide ships into the busy port of Harwich. Miles of golden sandy beaches
Walton has amazing sandy beaches. Build sandcastles, go for a paddle, stroll along the seafront in search of the best shells, or along the promenade looking for your favourite beach hut. We know you’ll pick the red one of course! You can walk for miles, along to Frinton and back.

The Pier
No day is complete without visiting the Pier. Not only is it the second-longest pier in Great Britain, but it has one of the worlds oldest operating amusement parks. Ten-pin bowling, rides, penny arcade….grab a wristband – you’ll want to stay.

Boat Trips to See the Seals
Imagine a trip around the beautiful backwaters at Walton-On-The-Naze with a local wildlife expert, Tony. It’s a 2-hour trip and if you are lucky, you might see some seals. Available in the spring and summer.
