Join us at the Red Beach Hut for an early morning swim followed by breakfast in the hut. Awaken your whole body with a sunrise swim at Walton On-the-Naze. Coldwater swimming offers so many mood-boosting benefits. It’s amazing for your mental health.

Connect with others, your inner self and discover your ability to feel joy at any moment during this early morning swim session. Feel the cold water rejuvenate your body, mind and soul.

We can get so caught up in the busyness of our lives or caught up in the blows that life has dealt us that we forget to allow ourselves to have fun. These swims will help you to take time for yourself. No matter what is happening in your life, use this time to connect with others and to connect with your inner self.

You may be pleasantly surprised about what you find inside, and your ability to feel happy at any moment. And you just might make some new friends. ❤️

Why mindful swimming?

When do the mindful swims take place?

The sunrise swims take place Once a month. These are ticketed events and can book your ticket on this page. Dates and times will vary in order to swim when the tide is appropriate for swimming!

At sunrise!

How long are the swims?

We will enjoy a cold water swim in the sea just by the hut. We only stay in for a maximum of 10- 30 minutes. I usually last 5! You can just dip your toes in the first time or watch. No pressure. Just being there is fun.

Who are the mindful swims suited to?

The swims are suited to everyone. It’s about taking in the moment, not being an experienced swimmer. I just float!

What happens after mindful swims?

After our swim, we will retreat to The Red Beach Hut, a cosy base to come back to, ready with hot drinks, and a delicious breakfast to refuel our bodies after the swim and a wonderful view ❤️

Mindfulness events are run in collaboration with Blossome.

Blossome is a supportive community dedicated to transforming lives through talk, immersive experiences, creative expression and motion, helping exhausted people move forward in their lives after losing a loved one to alcohol dependency or addiction. 

Blossome offerings and curriculum strive to help people connect with and love their true self. This is achieved through finding hope and connection in a supportive community with an abundance of programmes and immersive experiences that will help them use their voice, build strength, let go of beliefs that hold them back and learn new rituals that will enable them to find their way back to themselves and to a life filled with joy.
