Recently hired The Red Beach hut and it was a lovely place.  There is everything you could possibly want for a relaxing day out.  The only things we took were towels and a tea towel.  Excellently equipped and plenty of helpful information to make your day pleasurable.  The pier, toilets and water stand pipe are only a short walk away making it a great location.  The Station car park or Church Lane car park are nearby with steps leading directly to the huts a short walk from either of these.   The views are beautiful, so much thought has gone into this lovely beach hut my friends and I will certainly be hiring this again. We had a gorgeous day in Dragon Hut. Fresh. Colourful and cute little touches. Sun was out it was just so lovely. 2nd time I booked the same hut.
All amenities were close by.
While the kids on the beach, just me and the dog looked out to sea.

Only issue was the steps was closed off for repair so a long walk round from the carpark and the grassy area for dog to go toilet. Hope it won't take too long to open again

Edit: I've visited three times now. Every single time has been exceptional, every time I've brought a friend and they've always been equally impressed. Theres so many good things to say!. Communication from Kim is superb. I've visited other beach huts and not a single one comes close to topping this. I love the little messages in the hut, so my vibe and I took time to really take a break from my head. Its more than a hut, I feel like its a place to find peace so thankyou for the small touches. Obviously will be back soon!

I have been to a few huts over the years and by far the red beach hut,  beats them all. Comfortable, clean and cosy. It gave me the beach vibes but also a retreat from the sun. The views from the hut are great. Communication with the host was excellent, even when my email for some reason wasn't receiving the info for the hut. Getting to the hut was a quick 5 minute from the carpark. Although our dog wasn't able to join us, the dog friendly cabin very friendly, treats, water bowls, everything a dog could need was also available. Amenities in the hut also excellent. The beach hut was lovely and clean, and communication with the host was very fast and clear. All the information we needed was sent beforehand, which was greatly appreciated. There was also plenty to do, including buckets and spades for the beach, as well as books and colouring activities. The weather was extremely hot during our stay, so it was wonderful to be able to sit, have some lunch, and look out over the sea. We had a lovely time and would definitely recommend it.

Wonderful day out with 4 generations of girlie family. Beautiful Huts in a sheltered position. Everything you need provided to ensure a perfect visit.
Access from the road and down to the beach is via quite a few steps so not wheelchair friendly, due to the location of all the beach huts alongside a cliff.
Toilets, food and the pier are close by.
If you want a peaceful, comfortable and fun day out with family & friends in a lovely location with everything you could need, this is definitely the place to go. We all can't wait to plan for our next visit.

Spent a great Bank Holiday Monday at The Red Beach Hut. It’s such a lovely place, very tranquil. Love that it’s a little further back from and higher up than the Promenade as you enjoy great views plus less hustle and bustle. It’s also really well equipped for catering with other thoughtful touches provided by Kim including a variety of outdoor chairs, parasol, books, games, flowers and fairy lights. A Perfect Day at the Seaside Starts at The Red Beach Hut!
We recently had the absolute pleasure of spending a day at Walton-on-the-Naze, and our experience was made truly fantastic by booking The Red Beach Hut. From the moment we arrived, we knew we'd made the right choice – this charming little hut genuinely has everything you need for a lovely day at the seaside!
The location is simply unbeatable. We were so impressed with how close it was to all the essential amenities. The toilets were just a stone's throw away, making trips with the kids (and adults!) incredibly convenient. Fresh water for drinks and washing up was equally accessible, which is a huge plus on a warm day. For those forgotten snacks or extra buckets and spades, the nearby shops were a lifesaver. And of course, being right on the beautiful Walton beach meant we could be splashing in the waves within seconds.
What really sealed the deal was its proximity to the pier. We enjoyed a leisurely stroll down, indulging in some traditional seaside fun, knowing our cozy base was just a short walk back.
Inside, The Red Beach Hut is thoughtfully equipped with all the little touches that make a big difference – from comfy chairs and a table to all the bits and bobs you need for a truly relaxed beach day. It really does take all the stress out of packing and preparing.
